Would you just slow down?

My Dad has been telling me this for years, and I finally “get it”.  It may be against the grain of all we’re taught to believe, but slowing down is the fastest way to let the good flow into our lives.  It’s actually about noticing that it’s already here.  The pace of life and our busy minds have us convinced that we have to do more, be more, have more,… STOP!  Life is happening right in front of us.  When we become aware of that voice that says “I don’t have time to slow down” do it anyway, smile, and know this IS the path to abundance, as paradoxical as it may seem.  In slowing down we can notice what’s working and not working in our lives.  We can more easily notice the background conversations we’re having with ourselves – filled with inspiration, limiting beliefs, “stories” of the past, etc.  Trust that slowing down actually brings less stress, while increasing productivity, enjoyment, clarity, and peace.  We can start by slowing down to savor our food.  We love food in this country, but we don’t actually take the time to enjoy it.  ENJOY the taste of slow.
